THE YORUBA VOWELS

Standard Yoruba has seven oral and five nasal vowels. There are no diphthongs in Yoruba; sequences of vowels are pronounced as separate. The vowels in the Yorùbá alphabet are a, e, ẹ, i, o, ọ, u. You will notice that distinct from the other vowels, ẹ and ọ both have dots underneath them. Let's figure out how the alphabets are being pronounced here👇👇👇

 Yoruba is the most popularly spoken language in West Africa especially the country Nigeria. The Language is widely spoken in Benin Republic, Nigeria, and Togo. YORUBA ALPHABET

  The  Yoruba alphabet  ( Yoruba :  Álífábẹ́ẹ̀tì Yorùbá ) is a  Latin alphabets  used to write the  Yoruba language .  The Nigerian Yoruba alphabet is made up of 25 letters, without C Q V X Z but with the additions of  Ẹ ,  Ọ ,  Ṣ  and  Gb . However, many of the excluded consonants are present in several dialectal forms of Yoruba, including V, Z, and other digraphs (like ch, gh, and gw).
